Both Amy and I followed BMBMC members to Bagan Serai to witness the handling of keys to kuti of Dhamma Rain Santuary at Bagan Serai. Led by Uncle Lim, we travelled by two cars, one driven by Peter and the other by me. Amy, Bro Chai Keang and Bro Teoh are my passengers.
We arrived at the Santuary at 10 am after a fulfilling breakfast stop at Sg Bakap Chai Kuay restaurant. Bhante Kusala was about to be invited to begin the occasion, what a timing it is. After the key-handling over ceremony, we take a peep at the kuti.
Then there is a Dhamma talk by Bhante Kusala about the benefit of dana and tranference of merit with Bhante using the example of Venerable Anuruddha.
A Dana was performed and we of course stayed for the lunch.

Br. Ewe Hong Cheong ( Chinese-Ed ) Dayaka whom many now "wanted' him to be Chief Dayaka there, was too concerned about Ayasma Kosala ( going here and there ~ a flying bird )...without a proper abode.
Well,Bro. Ewe spoke to many people including Br. Ng Kian Chong (SBS).
A short list of potential supporters was given o him, thus "selecting" out the would-be group
to "catalyst " its growth of DRS.
He ( Ayasma Kosala ) resided in Krian Buddhist Association (Sangha's Kuti}. Some may be aware, he went out pindappatta everyday, in spite of a small group of regular food-dana ladies who untiring prepared their luncheon-dana, without miss each time, he was here.
There was no plan to build " Dhamma Rain Sanctuary. But because of several reasons..as Ayasma Kosala insisted..eg he wanted to be a " real " Sangha...i.e. eating allowable Meat meals in this Association ( which was general run by Mahayanist believers ), Bro. Ewe took a step further...build another Kuti ( away from K.B.A. ).
So, with Br. Lee Boon Chong's mother i.e. Sis. Saw Ah Ting's consent to " allow " some 4,770 sq ft to be used as a " site ', Br. Ewe proceeded with Sis. Tang Gu Moy/Sis Ewe Lee Ching/Br. Hng Boon Siew/Br.Ng Cheng Swee,Br. Chien Eng Kok & one Ah Huat...they just went all out...with what they could get..and voila.. Dhamma Rains Sanctuary was born. Everyone was also surprised..with the scenic Sun sets and Sun Rise..Ha Ha..no one thought of the Rains..and it rained, that day!
Any teething problem ???...oh, there are but are likely to be resolved given some time.

Bagan Serai...( once very popular spot of E & R until Highways took off tha mass " tourists " ) which may " arise " again...also with this Buddha~Sasana...led by Ayasma
